Lake Mburo harbors several species of animals not observed elsewhere in Uganda. It is the only place in Uganda to support a population of Impala (from which Kampala city derives its name), and only one of Uganda’s three protected areas where Burchell’s Zebra occurs. Tourist attractions include Ankole long-horned cows.
