Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, in the middle of Lake Victoria, is home to 48 orphaned animals. The Island facilities offer day and overnight visitors an exceptional opportunity to closely observe and interact with these fascinating great apes in this unique setting. The Visitor Program offers well-wishers the opportunity to adopt a chimpanzee of their choice and contribute towards the feeding and veterinary care. Tourist activities include: chimpanzee trekking, bird watching, forest walks, chimpanzee feeding, cage cleaning and community visits.
